Historic Charlestown is a place to visit or stay on a holiday in Cornwall
A holiday house or cottage is a perfect base for many of Cornwall’s most popular attractions and scenic towns. The largely unspoiled village with its amazingly well preserved Georgian port, now a living museum, is still a working port but is predominantly famous as a home to majestic tall ships, used extensively in historical films.
With the Eden Project, Heligan Gardens and the sailing town of Fowey only short car jaunts away, there is plenty to keep everyone happy, but if filming is taking place you may just want to sit on the harbour and watch the magnificent sailing ships elegantly manoeuvre out in the bay.
