Urlaub Cornwall guide to the best dog friendly beaches for holiday with a dog on the north coast of Cornwall
UrlaubCornwall have selected some great dog friendly beaches on the northcoast of Cornwall.
Perranporth and Perran Sands– Excellent for long beach walks as these two wide sandy beaches cover a very large area. Perranporth is a popular family holiday spot on the north coast, but allows dogs on the beach all year round. The town has plenty of facilities for dogs and people alike, with dog friendly shops, pubs and cafés.
Fistral Beach – This surfer’s paradise is perhaps Cornwall’s most famous beach, and one of the main reasons people visit Newquay. The beach is dog friendly all year, so you can walk your dog along the wide, flat sands whilst the water is busy with surfers and bodyboarders. The beach is big enough for you to find your family plenty of space.
Crantock Beach – A short journey west from Newquay along the north coast is Crantock Bay. The sandy beach is popular with families, but not as busy as the beaches in central Newquay. Access to the beach from the car park is through some quite steep sand dunes, but they shouldn’t be a problem for most people or dogs. There is a National Trust and beach shop at Crantock, which remains dog friendly all year.
Summerleaze Beach – This sandy beach is ideal for short walks, close to the centre of Bude. Dogs are welcome all year but must be on a lead during the daytime from the end of May to the end of September.
