Classic Car Festival in Cornwall May
After the success of last year’s rally, with its James Bond themed finale at the luxury Hotel Tresanton in St Mawes, Cornwall will again welcome some amazing classic cars.
The St Mawes Classic Car Festival and Tour this year takes as its theme the “Very Best of Cornwall’s Food and Drink” including a trip over to Padstow for a Seafood Cookery Demonstration at Rick Stein’s famous Cookery School and some really scenic beautiful driving along the lovely Cornish coastline.
A visit to Bocconoc, home to Anthony and Elizabeth Fortesque where the petrol heads will have the opportunity for some “mildly competive” driving in the grounds of the estate and a Concour d’Elegance in St Mawes down on the water front is popular with both the drivers and classic car lovers.
Last year saw a total of total of 17 beautiful cars ranging from a Ferrari 550MM Carrera Panamerica (driven by car enthusiast Nick Mason from Pink Floyd) to a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 and from a 1950 Fraser Nash Le Mans Replica to a 1928 Rolls Royce Phantom. This year we’ll see at least one classic Ferrari driven from Switzerland to attend.
